Conrad is the seat of
Pondera County, and is 54 miles northwest of
Great Falls, on I-15 on the banks of the Pondera River near Lakes Elwell and Frances.
Calling itself "the heart of the Golden Triangle," Conrad is an agriculturally-based community supported by farms and ranches, and several nearby Hutterite colonies.
