Cow Island State Recreation Area is located in SW Montana on the
Missouri River. The site is accessible by boat. Five sites are available where tent camping is permitted. Pets are OK. Restrooms are available but no drinking water. Fishing on the
Missouri River is often enjoyed by visitors. The area is open from May through September.
