The Northern Rockies Outdoor Centre is a private, nonprofit education organization providing learning opportunities to students from across the United States. The courses cover a variety of subjects in which students learn from their own experiences, a non traditional approach to traditional education. Thematic and project oriented courses incorporate experimentation, field studies, individual reflection and group learning. Students travel to various settings which enable them to use the surrounding environment as a living laboratory.
