Ravalli County 48 miles south of
Missoula between Victor and Darby on US 93 on the banks of the Bitterroot River near
Bitterroot National Forest.
Located in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley, Hamilton is Montana's gateway to the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness and a number of other recreational and historic attractions, including the Ravalli County Museum.
