Lee Metcalf Wilderness

The United States Congress designated the Lee Metcalf Wilderness Area in 1983. Containing 248,944 acres in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest and Gallatin National Forest, the wilderness contains popular hiking destinations in the Spanish Peaks area, as well as picturesque Lava Lake.
