Lost Creek State Park |
This scenic recreation area is located north of Anaconda off Route 273 and is handicapped accessible. The short trail to Lost Creek Falls offers views of the limestone cliffs that rise 1200 feet above the canyon floor. You may also see mountain goats and bighorn sheep. Camping and picnicking are available. The park is open seasonally. Since it is designated "primitive," there are no fees, but facilities and services are limited.
To reach the park, turn north onto Hwy 48 near milepost 6 just east of Anaconda, go about a quarter mile and turn west onto Hwy 273. Then 2 miles and left again. Go 4 miles on paved road plus 3 miles on gravel road.
