The center provides information and literature on the park, as well as community, regional, and statewide attractions, Themes include "Sea of Time," depicting the area 500 million years ago as a shallow, warm sea, and "A Moment of Dinosaurs" depicting 65 million years ago when "terrible lizards" roamed the area, and finally "Ages of Erosion" depicting the badlands and its inhabitants of 11,000 years ago. A small park store ofers educational and interpretive park gifts. Open all year, with reduced hours in the off season.
