Broadwater Health Center

Broadwater Health Center is a small facility - 9 acute beds and 35 skilled nursing beds - in a town of 1800 in west-central Montana. Their service area is Broadwater County, with nearly 4000 residents. Their medical staff consists of two full-time physicians who share call, and a retired physician who fills in as necessary. The area has supported three physicians in the past, and the population is growing steadily. They currently offer acute care, long term care, emergency care, ambulance, home health and physical therapy. They are 30 minutes on a good road to St. Peter's Community Hospital in Helena, the state capitol. St. Peter's is a 100-bed facility with specialists including oncology, cardiology, pulmonology, and surgery.
