Red Rock Lake National Wildlife Refuge is located in the extreme SW portion of Montana near the Idaho border. The Centennial Mountains rise steeply to the south, providing a scenic atmosphere.

In the evening you can list to the rare trumpeter swans call. Although many game animals roam the refuge, this is primarily a bird sanctuary, providing habitat for over 230 species of birds. Birdwatching is prime with 50,000 ducks and geese and up to 2000 whistling swans gatherin in early fall. Springtime provides nesting grounds for sandhill cranes.

There are three spaces for trailers, but no hookups and a limit of 25 feet. Located 28 miles of Interstate 15 at the Monida Exit on gravel road.
