Saco

Saco is located in Phillips County 43 miles northwest of Glasgow between Hinsdale and Malta on US 2 on the banks of the Milk River near Nelson Reservoir, Hewitt Lake Wildlife Refuge, and Sleeping Buffalo Hot Springs.

Chet Huntley, late news commentator, began his education at Huntley School, now a restored one-room building.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 235, a decrease of 26 since 1990.
