The seat of Mineral County, Superior is located 55 miles northwest of Missoula between St Regis and Alberton along I-90 near Lolo National Forest. Located on the Clark Fork River, this small town offers a break from interstate travel. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 980, an increase of 99 since 1990.
