Troy is located in
Lincoln County 18 miles northwest of
Libby near the Idaho state line along US 2 on the banks of the Kootenai River. Cedars that are more than 500 years old and 250 feet high are found at the Ross Creek Cedar Grove Scenic Area south of town. The Troy Museum and Visitors Center is open in the summer.
