Big Sky Country is known for many wonderful things, but wine traditionally has not been one of them. The cold and sometimes harsh climate in Montana makes growing grapes difficult, but it is not impossible as shown by the few that have succeeded.
Montana does not have a sufficient number of wineries to be regionalized, but the few that have been successful in the effort are worthy of review.
