Yaak is located in
Lincoln County 25 miles north of
Libby along US 2 and Hwy 508 on the banks of the Yaak River near the Canadian border and Idaho state line. Named after an Indian word meaning arrow, Yaak is Montana's northwesternmost town. The Northwest Peaks Scenic Area is nearby.
