From Perth-Andover to Charlo, the Appalacian Mountain Range provides a beautiful backdrop to an already beautiful scenic drive. Mount Carleton, the highest peak in the Maritimes, can be climbed, or go to Sugarloaf Provincial Park, which has the only alpine slide in the area. Northern beaches provide great swimming opportunities. The coastline along the route also offers some spectacular kayaking, and at the same time, you can view one of the last remaining natural sandbars on the continent.
