Formed in 1914, Alamance County Area Chamber of Commerce strives to represent and promote the area's economy and encourage business and industrial investment, which broadens the tax base and decreases unemployment. The chamber also seeks solutions to today's social problems by becoming involved in non-commercial area, such as education and human relations, to assist local industry in growth and expansion, provide resources for small businesses and influence national, state and local legislation involving business.
