The mission of Aldersgate United Methodist Church is to worship and praise God through sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with the world and supporting missions to the local, national, and world community. The Church participates in the Stephen Series, a program that equips lay people to do caring ministry work.
The church was begun at the 1955 session of the Annual Conference on the recommendation of Dr. W. L. Clegg, Durham District Superintendent and Rev. Thomas A. Collins, Conference Director of Church Extension.
Sunday services include worship, contemporary service and kid's own worship.
