Built in 1890, the Howard House is located in the heart of the downtown Historical district and is listed on the National Register of Historic places. It offers six guest rooms. The Turret Room features an antique 1800s Victorian Bed (queen size), marble top dresser, private bath with tub/shower and pedestal sink. The Victorian Cottage room has a queen bronze iron bed, carpeting, sitting area which includes chair with ottoman, table and chairs and writing desk, private bathroom with antique wardrobe.
The inn is located near specialty and antique shops, art galleries, restaurants, parks and marinas, and historic sites such as Tryon Palace and the Birthplace of Pepsi.
