SUWS of the Carolinas is a therapeutic camping program with a focus on clinical intervention and assessment. It specializes in treating students aged 14-17 who are experiencing low esteem, defiant behavior, and negative peer relationships. The program uses a Search and Rescue metaphor to teach students character development and to assist in the identification of core values and guiding principles. The program uses the outdoors. Facilities include an office complex, instructor residences, cabins for students, full shower house, and laundry. Parenting workshop is offered upon program completion.
