The Lodge on Lake Lure is a twelve-room getaway with fabulous views, stone fireplaces, terraces and distinctive dining. Enjoy afternoon tea, wine and hors d'oeuvres and relax during the sunset cruise. The lodge is a large, rambling structure situa ted at the end of a wooded drive at a point high enough on the sloping hillside to afford a sweeping view of the lake and beyond. Its greatroom is warm and inviting with vaulted ceilings, hand-hewn beams, walls of wormy chestnut, and a huge gristmill stone embedded in the twenty-foot-tall stone fireplace. During the warmer months, swim, boat and fish from the beautiful lakeside dock. The boathouse is headquarters for guests who enjoy the waterfront--swimming, fishing, and boating. Its rooftop deck is an ideal vantage point from which to observe the activity on the lake or to simply relax quietly and soak up the sun.
