Ocracoke

Ocracoke is located in Hyde County on Ocracoke Island south of Hatteras along Highway 12 within the Cape Hatteras National Seashore near the Pamlico Sound and the Cape Lookout National Seashore. Bankers Ponies, descendants of horses brought here by early explorers, still live on the island.
