October Hill is a stately mansion perched atop a knoll, on 3 acres, surrounded by majestic oaks, dogwoods and rhododendron. Designed by architect Charles Parker, designer of Ashevilles Grove Arcade, this elegant two-story stuccoed home has remain ed virtually unchanged over the years. It still retains all original wall light sconces, bathroom fixtures, hardwood floors, windows, fireplaces and magnificent curved staircase. The only significant changes have been the addition of a bathroom and an elevator. Enjoy afternoon refreshments in the Grand Room, where you can relax by the fire or gather around the authentic player piano and antique pump organ for an evening of unique entertainment.
