Siler City is located in Chatham County between Greensboro and Sanford at the junction of US Hwy 64 and US Hwy 421 near Pittsboro, Asheboro, Liberty, and the Rocky River. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 4,975, an increase of 167 since 1990.
