Columbus

Columbus is located in northwestern North Dakota in northwest Burke County about 80 miles northwest of Minot and about 8 miles south of the Canadian border.

Neaby outdoor recreation includes Lostwood National Wildlife Refuge, 25 miles to the south-southeast and Des Lacs National Wildlife Refuge, about 35 miles southeast of town. In addition, watersports lovers often flock to Upper Des Lacs Lake or Lower Des Lacs Lake also 35 miles to the southeast.
