Crosby, founded in 1904, is located in extreme northwestern North Dakota in Divide County (of which it is the county seat) about 100 miles northwest of Minot, 60 miles north-northeast of Williston and 5 miles south of the Canadian border. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 1,028, a decrease of 284 since 1990.
One interesting day trip is a journey to [writrohs] about 30 miles southwest of town. Another diversion and a treat for kids is the Lostwood National Wildlife Refuge located about 45 statute miles to the southeast.
Crosby Country Club, a semi-private club with an open guest policy, awaits golfers of all skill levels. They feature a 9-hole, par 35, 2,900-yard course open from April Fool's Day through Halloween.
