Dakota Inn

Comments: I reserved a room at the Dakota Inn in Minot ND for my 8 year old daughter, her friend and myself on December 31st, 2007. When we got to the room we were assigned, I opened the door and found a man sitting in his underwear on the bed watching television. I apologized and went back to the front desk. They immediately knew the man I was speaking of by stating that they thought he was gone; if he were gone, would his key not be left at the front desk??? When I asked this question I was told 'no' and that he comes and goes. Is this not a security issue??? What if the girls and I were sleeping at night and this man walks in to our room (because he has a key and comes and goes as he pleases)? What if I left my billfold and belongings in the room and went to watch the girls swim and this guy goes into the room and steals everything? The management at Dakota Inn, Minot, ND was not appalled or shocked at all; in fact she was rather cocky and immature and told me "this happens."
