Drayton is located in northeastern North Dakota in
Pembina County on the banks of the
Red River of the North about 45 miles north of
Grand Forks.
Outdoor lovers can take a 35-mile drive to the northwest to enjoy the facilities at Icelandic State Park while anglers often take advantage of smallish Lake Ardoch about 25 miles to the south. In addition, golfers are invited to shoot a round at Drayton Golf Course, a public 9-hole layout.
