Located on the Lewis and Clark Trail along the west end of Lake Sakakawea, Nesson Valley's Bonanza Ranch provides deer hunting (bow hunting), upland game hunting, waterfowl hunting, and great fishing. Deer bow hunting starts in September and gun season starts in November.
Summer is great for hiking, bird watching, photography, and watching a working farm and ranch operation. In the winter there is snow shoeing, cross country skiing, photography, and snow-mobiling. The lodge, a large 3 story house, features original sun porches, ice boxes, and antiques. The Red Mike Golf Course and Four Bears Casino are nearby.
