Epping is located in northwestern North Dakota in Williams County about twenty miles northeast of Williston along highway 42. It is a small, quiet community of about 75 citizens, a post office, a saloon, a restaurant, a blacksmith shop and the Buffalo Trails Museum.Nearby recreation includes activities around Lake Sakakawea and Lewis and Clark State Park about 15 miles southwest of town.
