Search Menoken North Dakota

Located one and one-half miles northeast of Menoken, this site preserves a prehistoric earthlodge village site surrounded by a large fortification ditch with four clearly defined bastions. Although archeologists originally thought the village dated 1780-1845, they now believe it may have been occupied as early as A.D. 1100. There is a marker on the site.
