Located in the valley of the Sheyenne River, which wanders across half the breadth of North Dakota, this 509-acre forest features fishing, canoeing, hunting, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. There are primitive campsites, and a segment of the hiking trail has been certified as part of the North Country National Scenic Trail.
