Warsaw is located in northeastern North Dakota in
Walsh County about 15 miles southeast of
Grafton on the banks of the Forest River and about 5 miles west of the
Red River of the North.
Outdoor recreation can be found at nearby Lake Ardoch and 2,500-acre Ardoch National Wildlife Refuge about 5 miles southwest of town.
