Beaver City Nebraska

Beaver City is located in Furnas County (of which it is the county seat), off of Hwy 89, between Arapahoe and the Kansas State line.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 660, a decrease of 47 since 1990.

This site was noted in the spring of 1872 by J.H.McKee and Struve as a "favorable point." The first building was a store which served as a post office also.
