Blue Hill is located in
Webster County, south of
Hastings, between Hastings and
Red Cloud on US Hwy 281, near the Little Blue River.
The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 763, a decrease of 47 since 1990.
Blue Hill was originally part of the older community of Guide Rock. It was established in the Northeast part of the county. It had a thriving cattle business and served as a productive spot for farmers during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
