Arthur County Library, serving an area of 440 residents, has a collection of 7,500 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 26 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials.
Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $1,320. Patrons make 520 visits annually, and check out materials 3,000 times. Forty-four percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
