Lyman Public Library, serving an area of 420 residents, has a collection of 7,800 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 72 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 110 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes.
Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $2,300. Patrons make 2,300 visits annually, and check out materials 2,400 times. Fifty-six percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
