Colophon Book Shop

The Colophon Book Shop, established in 1971 in La Grange, IL, and then relocated to Exeter in 1982, are specialists in the fields of antiquarian and in-print books about books and bibliography, literary first editions, first editions of mystery and detective fiction.

The shop also has an extensive collection of military books relating primarily to pre-World War I aviation, World War I and World War II aviation, early aeronautics, and military arms and campaigns from during the past hundred years.

Avid book collectors should not be without a hundred or more miscellaneous books about books, such as ones for: biographies of great collectors and booksellers, papermakers, printers, typefounders, publishers, etc. According to the owners, good rare book catalogues are often excellent bedtime reading, and sources of interesting facts.
