This gallery is housed in a 1929 Beaux-Arts building reminiscent of an Italian Renaissance palace. Displayed are European and American paintings, sculpture and decorative arts from the 13th century to the present, including works by Winslow Homer, Henri Matisse, Claude Monet, Georgia O'Keefe, Pablo Picasso and Andrew Wyeth. Also included are works by New Hampshire artists and craftsmen as well as a collection of American furniture.
Changing exhibitions, films, lectures and concerts are offered year round. Food is available.
Museum open Sunday through Monday and Wednesday through Friday 11am-5pm, Saturday 10am-5pm; closed major holiday.
