Search Fitzwilliam New Hampshire

The Fitzwilliam Inn, built in 1793, was known as "The Goldsmith Tavern" when it opened and has provided a warm bed and good meal to many travellers since that time. Originally the inn was a stage coach stop for passengers travelling from Boston, throughout the New England area, and beyond. By 1843, the inn had become known as the "The Cheshire Hotel" and become a respected landmark for train passengers from the nearby Fitzwilliam Depot.

The inn has undergone many changes and upgrades since its beginnings, including amenities such as an indoor pool on the north lawn and Sunday afternoon concerts during the winter months, which are much enjoyed by locals and travellers alike.

Travellers will also enjoy Rhododendron State Park, Annett State Forest, and Monadnock State Park. Or perhaps shopping at one of the numerous Fitzwilliam antique stores would suit a traveller's fancy.
