Occupying 2 acres on Willow Avenue, this garden was designed in the early 1930s and they are typical of Colonial Revival estate gardens. Early June brings spring bulbs, azaleas, rhododendrons, and, in the Japanese garden, wisterias. Some 2,000 rose bushes bloom late June through October. Perennial and annual displays, statuary and fountains are interspersed throughout the gardens, and a greenhouse contains tropical and desert plants. Open daily 10am-6pm in May through October; closed holidays.
