Goffstown is located between Weare and Manchester on NH Route 114 in Hillsborough County and is part of the Manchester, New Hampshire metropolitan area.
This town, as part of Massachusetts, went through three name changes (Narragansett Number 4, Piscataquog Village, and Shovestown) before settling on the name of Goffstown. In 1748, the land was regranted to new settlers, including Colonel John Goff for whom the town was named, and was incorporated in 1761. The town includes the village of Grasmere, named for the England home of famous poets Coleridge and Wordsworth.
Goffstown is conveniently located to many shopping opportunities in Manchester and Concord, plus many other activities.
