The property on which the Inn At Pleasant Lake resides originally hosted a farm in the 1800s. In 1878 a Union Army officer bought the property, made a number of improvements and opened up the Red Gables Inn, which operated for over 100 years.
The Inn at Pleasant Lake continues and adds to the tradition of the Red Gables Inn, maintaining many of the features which made it so successful -- a private beach, 12 well-appointed rooms, the gables -- but also adding their own touch: fabulous gourmet dinner fare served 5 times a week.
