Many students are first attracted to Keene State College by its environment: the variety of the landscape, the beauty of the campus, and the welcoming nature of Keene, a small city in the scenic Monadnock Region of southwestern New Hampshire. As students arrive, though, they quickly find themselves in a scholarly community that explores knowledge in both traditional and innovative ways. Along with its most popular majors - education, psuchology, and management - Keene State supports program in almost 40 other areas of study, from film to physics. Learning takes a variety of directions. While classes and seminar rooms are the setting for spirited discussions, many students enlist in independent study or research with faculty members.
