This society features local history with permanent and changing exhibits. Among the museum's highlights are American Indian artifacts, 19th century firefighting apparatus and images and articles illustrating Manchester's social and industrial history. The library contains the records of the Amoskeag Manufacturing Co. as well as regional maps, diaries, photographs and other documents.

Open Tuesday through Friday 9am-4pm, Saturday 10am-4pm; closed holidays.
