Franklin. Peabody Home is open to all people. They are private-pay, not-for-profit and offer competitive Independent Living and Assisted Living rates. Their nursing rates are among the lowest in New Hampshire.
The Peabody Home began in 1938 at the bequest of local residents. Since that time, the Home has been expanded and in 1941 construction began on the mansion, which is the main facility today. Other additions include the Annex, the Cottage and the "River View Room." The River View Room contains a new wheel chair ramp and main entrance, nurses station, handicap bath/shower, a resident dining/living area/great room, and administrative offices. Through its windows, residents will see the Winnipesaukee River.
