Byron G. Merrill Library

Byron G. Merrill Library, serving an area of 1,470 residents, has a collection of 20,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 250 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 1,680 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes.

Staffing consists of one employee, including one fully accredited librarian, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $3,700. Patrons make 6,000 visits annually, and check out materials 5,400 times. Twenty-nine percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
