Unity Free Public Library

Unity Free Public Library, serving an area of 1,540 residents, has a collection of 5,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 42 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 400 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes.

Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $960. Patrons make 189 visits annually, and check out materials 2,000 times. Ninety-two percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
