Chocorua Public Library

Chocorua Public Library, located in Carroll County and serving an area of 2,500 residents, has a collection of 17,600 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 126 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 105 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Internet terminals are available for use by the general public.

Staffing consists of one employee, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $4,200. Patrons make 1,760 visits annually, and check out materials 5,200 times. Nine percent of all check-outs are children's materials.
