Inn By The Bandstand

The Inn By The Bandstand, located in Rockingham County, is a bed and breakfast, built in 1809, and offering nine antique-furnished guest rooms, each with air conditioning, alarm clock, cable color TV, CD player, VCR and telephones. Also, the Sheffield Suite is located on the first floor and is handicapped accessible. It is surrounded by quaint shops, restaurants and old fashioned movie theatres.

The federal-style townhouse is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places and was built for George Sullivan, a lawyer who was twice New Hampshire state attorney general, a state representative and served as a member of Congress. His father was General John Sullivan of Bunker Hill fame.
