This Inn, located in Enfield, is an authentic 18th-century South Family Shaker Farmhouse on five acres, distinguished by the hospitality of an innkeeper who knows all about the Shakers. The owners of the inn write historical novels, including two Shaker novels. The inn's six large guest bedrooms, some with views of Mascoma Lake and the mountains, are decorated in period antiques and reproductions. The inn itself is a city, state and national historic site. It is located near the Enfield Shaker Museum, the Shaker Cemetery and other historic Shaker sites as well as Montshire Museum of Science and Saint-Gaudens National Historic Site.
